Chamber Presents Annual Review to April Fiscal Court Meeting

During the April 10 Fiscal Court meeting I was able to share the annual report with Judge Executive Lynn, County Magistrates, and the citizens in the audience. We can all become so focused on our own work it is vitally important to remember to tell the story of our chamber/tourism successes and give an overview of the action plan. Before we can recommend a specific vision for where the Chamber’s future should go, we must first know where we have been and evaluate our past efforts.
We have adopted guidelines to define our Vision: to consistently focus on a solid future, pursuing innovation and collaboration to facilitate the growth and vitality of our community. To continue with Passion by pursuing our work with enthusiasm, fueled by a strong commitment to our Mission of increasing business, investment, and employment in the area.
With Excellence, by providing the highest quality programs and services, challenging ourselves to achieve greater results for our members, our community and each other. To work through these values as a Family to respect, trust and support each other in an environment that embraces work-life balance.
We have a community here in Meade County that is passionate about its personal and public privileges, as seen in last night’s Fiscal Court meeting. That pride and commitment speaks well to the future of Meade County and I’m proud to be a part of it as the Director of the Chamber and as a resident.
