Brochure Distribution – We display members’ brochures and business cards at the Chamber of Commerce office and distribute them in newcomer/relocation packets.
Maps – Maps of Meade County and its communities and Kentucky are available at no charge, as are maps of the John Hunt Morgan Heritage Trail and the U.S. 31W-31E Historic Corridor. Fees may apply to bulk orders; please call for details.
Business Directory – All members are listed in the searchable Business Directory on our web site (www.meadekychamber.org) with links to their own sites.
Meade County & Fort Knox – We provide regular updates on events at Fort Knox that may have an impact on Meade County, and we market the community to civilians and military personnel relocating there.
Business Information – We use our staff’s and members’ expertise to answer questions or provide information about how to find the answers – on topics as diverse as the demographics of Meade County and traffic counts at key locations throughout the region.
Membership Luncheons – Luncheons for members are held the third Thursday of each month and feature a program on a topic of business and/or community interest. Members are encouraged to bring guests and people interested in joining the Chamber of Commerce. The cost is $9 per person.
Celebrations – We help organize ribbon-cuttings and groundbreakings to recognize important milestones for businesses and organizations, including writing and distributing news releases and supplying ribbon and scissors for ribbon-cuttings and shovels for groundbreakings. Please give us three-week’s notice.
Member of the Month – Each month one of our members is recognized for service to the Chamber of Commerce and the community. Those honored receive signs to display at their places of business and recognition at membership luncheons, in our weekly online updates and in the local media.
Community Partnership Receptions & Dinners – Members are invited to the three community relations receptions and dinners that take place each year, hosted by the Chambers of Commerce in Meade and Hardin counties and the leadership of Fort Knox. Costs range from $15 to $20 per person.
Online Newsletter/Updates – Our informative updates highlight Chamber of Commerce Members, and community programs and events and provides information members can use in their businesses. Please call to learn more about advertising opportunities.
Economic Development – We regularly provide information to companies seeking information about Meade County, to local businesses seeking information that may lead to their growth and expansion, and to people who want information about how to start a business.
Professional Development – The Chamber of Commerce has access to information about a wide variety of development and continuing-education programs organized by such agencies as the Small Business Development Center, Meade County Education Center, Elizabethtown Community & Technical College, and others.
Information Packets – Newcomer/relocation packets are available for members to distribute to potential and new employees and residents.
